A vehicle can be rented by all companies registered in Germany, regardless of company size or business sector. This includes both start-ups and established, long-standing logistics companies.

Various types of vehicle can be hired, covering a wide range of possible uses. These include

Trucks, trailers and all other vehicles can be rented for different periods of time, depending on your needs and usage situation:

• For the duration of a workshop visit: If your own vehicle is in the workshop, a rental vehicle can serve as a temporary solution.
• For the duration of a bridging delivery period: If there are delays in the delivery of new vehicles, a rental vehicle can bridge the transition period.
• Long-term rental: It is also possible to rent vehicles for a period of 1 to 24 months, which is particularly suitable for longer-term projects or seasonal requirements.

The cost of renting trucks, tractor units and trailers can vary depending on the vehicle type, rental period and other factors. You can conveniently receive the current campaign conditions and prices via our newsletter. Our mobility consultants are also happy to help you choose the right vehicle and clarify pricing.

The rental is due in advance and must be paid when the vehicle is handed over. The invoice is then issued and settled with you via our payment service providers UTA and DKV. A special feature of R-Trucks: We generally do not require a deposit when renting trucks, tractor units, etc. Exceptions are companies with a weak credit rating or start-ups, where a deposit may be required from our payment service provider.

The rental of our trucks, tractor units and trailers includes the following costs (plus VAT)

• All maintenance and wear and tear repairs to the vehicle
• All customer services and tire wear
• Vehicle tax (for tractor units and BDF vehicles incl. trailer surcharge; semi-trailers/trailers with green license plates are excluded)
• Vehicle insurance (third-party liability, partially comprehensive cover with an excess of 1,500 euros or fully comprehensive cover with an excess of 2,500 euros)

Costs incurred due to a lack of care on the vehicle and expenses for small items and consumables are not included.

Yes, all R-Trucks vehicles - whether trucks, tractor units or trailers - are insured. We offer these two insurance models:

• Partial coverage with an excess of 1,500 euros: This covers damage such as theft, fire, glass breakage, damage caused by natural events or collisions with animals.
• Fully comprehensive cover with an excess of 2,500 euros: This offers more comprehensive cover, including accidental damage and vandalism.

The excess must be paid by the renter in the event of damage.

Yes, in classic rental we start with a minimum term of 3 months for trucks, tractor units or trailers. However, there are exceptions for special cases such as bridging delivery times or workshop replacement mobility, where shorter rental periods are also possible. If required, you are welcome to contact us directly to find the right solution for your situation.

Yes, the rental period can be extended or shortened depending on the rental contract selected. There are both fixed-term contracts with a fixed rental period and very variable contracts where the rental period can be flexibly adjusted - even with daily invoicing. This offers a high degree of flexibility to respond to changing requirements and needs.

Yes, it is possible to hire trucks at short notice. We keep our standard range of vehicles ready for immediate availability throughout Germany. Once the contract has been signed and a UTA or DKV card has been presented, the vehicle can be taken over and used immediately. This means you can start your transportation quickly and easily.

If the vehicle breaks down during the rental, the mobility guarantee included in our rental products comes into effect. Depending on the product you choose, you are entitled to an immediate replacement or the provision of a new vehicle within five days. In this way, we ensure that you remain mobile and do not have any longer downtimes.

As a rule, no deposit is required when renting a truck, tractor unit or semi-trailer. A deposit is only required from customers if they have a poor credit rating or are a newly established company. In these cases, the deposit is processed via our payment service provider.

Yes, it is possible to return the vehicle - whether truck, tractor unit or semi-trailer - to a different location. After consultation, the vehicle can be returned to one of our locations anywhere in Germany other than the original handover location.

If the vehicle is returned late, the consequences depend on the type of contract. In the case of flexible contracts, the contract is automatically extended, whereas in the case of fixed-term contracts, an arrangement must be made for the vehicle to be returned in order to avoid misappropriation of the vehicle. It is therefore important to agree the return with us in good time to avoid unnecessary complications.

Yes, you can drive abroad with our trucks and tractor units. The list of approved countries for the use of the vehicle is part of the rental contract and should be consulted there. In this way, we ensure that the vehicle can also be used outside Germany in accordance with the contractual conditions.

The class of driving license required for rental depends on the vehicle class. For vehicles up to 3.5 tons total weight, a German class B driving license is sufficient, while a class C or CE driving license is required for heavier trucks or tractor units. The exact requirements depend on the vehicle type, which is specified in the rental contract.

Payment is made via our payment service providers UTA or DKV. These enable simple and transparent billing of the rental costs for our trucks, tractor units and other vehicles.

When returning the vehicle, make sure that it is in a condition that corresponds to normal use. Any damage must be reported using the damage form. After the vehicle has been returned, DEKRA will draw up an expert report on the condition of the vehicle in order to make an objective assessment.

No, it is not possible to hire a vehicle - whether truck or tractor unit - with a driver. We only offer rental without a driver.

No, rental for private use is not possible. Our trucks and tractor units are only available to commercial customers.
